New York Oscar is the pick in preference to Magic Glade and Grand Show. Alan McCabe's sprinters have put the trainer on the map this term and New York Oscar has played more than his part in proceedings. Connections wisely have given him a couple of weeks rest since his last effort and he is worth another look given he is back over the five furlong trip this afternoon. Magic Glade won a claimer impressively and Peter Grayson signed the ballot form at ¿18000. The hold-up performer will need everything to fall right for him. Grand Show is respected as a rare raider from the Walter Swinburn stable. He does not win often but is much better than his recent form suggests. Northern Empire has it to do to recover any of the ability that he once had when trained by Brian Meehan. Neil Callan's booking is nevertheless a positive. Ebraam has been in good heart during the autumn and Dean McKeown seems to know how to ride him to his best effect. Spoof Master is watched in the market while Godfrey Street looks to be second string on jockey bookings. New York Oscar is not without questions to answer but he can bounce back to form this afternoon.
