In depth

Verdict

An interesting contest featuring three last-time out winners including Inch Perfect who heads the weights. Richard Fahey's dual purpose performer put up a typically spirited effort when a narrow winner over 1m3f here last week but looks harshly treated off an 8lb higher mark so may be worth opposing on this occasion. King Priam has been a fine servant down the years but has reached the veteran stage of his career and, despite winning a claimer last time, is not the force of old so preference is for Tass Heel. Mick Channon's charge remains relatively unexposed on this surface and appeared to show improvement for the step up to this trip when winning with something to spare here last week. The son of Danehill travelled well throughout before powering clear to an emphatic seven-length victory and should take plenty of beating off a mark just 4lb higher.
