In depth

Verdict

Not a strong contest for the females and LADY COUNSELLOR might be good enough to score on debut, while Fairview Sue and The Hon Tara both have experience which could prove invaluable. The selection is trained by Alan Swinbank, who has made a name for himself in this sphere over the years. The Turbo Speed filly is the sister to the very smart bumper and Lancashire Oaks winner Turbo Linn, plus other bumper and hurdles winners. She is likely to be straight enough first time and with that pedigree a big positive we will side with her. That is not to say that others do not have claims. Fairview Sue went off at 125-1 on debut at Hereford, where she challenged two furlongs out before being beaten six lengths into third. The slow surface here should suit and with that experience to call upon and improvement to come she won't be going off at that price again. The Hon Tara was not unfancied on her Folkestone introduction, but she was outpaced there before staying on through beaten horses for third. There should be more to come today and she is respected. Cinderella Rose is a nice sort for Kim Bailey to train and pedigree suggests she is no forlorn hope here either, though Lady Counsellor is chanced on debut.
