    Verdict

    With the yard going so well we will just give the nod here to EXCELLENT SHOW, with Indian Skipper set to go well, and the others all having claims in a trappy affair. The Bryan Smart-trained selection has been put up 1lb by the assessor, having finished runner-up in his last two starts from a mark of 81. This minimum trip is his optimum, and although he does have to prove himself on the Fibresand his trainer knows the type that can win at this venue and we will put our trust in him. Indian Skipper has never yet won over as short as this, but he was not far away at Lingfield last time. He acts on this surface and from the same mark looks a danger. Absa Lutte has won four of her last six races, with most of her successes coming on the faster Kempton surface. Even so, she has handled cut on turf, so she may be able to perform here and if she does then she is a threat. Colorus has three course and distance wins to his name but still looks to be in the grip of the assessor for the time being, while old boy Pawan pops up here very occasionally, and looks a little short on speed for this today. Excellent Show gets the vote.
