        Verdict

        King Priam looks to have lost the plot and the step up to this trip seems the last throw of the dice for him, while winning bumper horse Son Of A Gun has something to prove, even at this level. Alhesn has plenty to find on these terms, but he does stay this trip well, unlike some of his rivals. However, in a moderate race the selection is White Plains, even though he has yet to win beyond 12-furlongs. He showed this sort of trip should be within his compass when just touched off by Polish Baron over an extended 14-furlongs at Wolverhamton back in July, with useful stayers Xellance and Urgent Swift, well beaten.
