Mark Johnston has his All-Weather team in fine form and Double Mystery will be a popular choice to keep his run going. He shaped with plenty of promise on his debut at Redcar, where he cut out most of the running, before lack of condition took it's toll. In what looks a weak maiden he must go close. No Grouse belied his big odds when just failing to peg back Toro Bravo at Wolverhampton. That was a big step up on what he had shown previously and similar improvement should see him involved here. Red Beaufighter, a cheap foal, is sure to be all the wiser for his debut, but he is out of a winning sprinter and it remains to be seen whether this is his trip. Rookwith is beginning to look exposed, but this isn't a strong event and he cannot be discounted. Star Of Germany showed next to nothing on his debut and may need more time, while Karlinight hasn't been seen since making her debut at Warwick back in April and may need this outing. Humouresque will be worth a small fortune if she can win a race and this looks her chance. She is a half-sister to the high class sprinter Danehurst, but she stays much better, and looked to need further than the seven-furlongs she raced over last time, having got outpaced, before staying on well in the latter stages. This stiffer mile should suit her well and she is taken to prove too strong for the colts.
