        Verdict

        A poor claimer and The Last Bottle is our selection ahead of Red Cauldron and One Called Alice. The selection had looked like a horse to follow when with Tom Tate but clearly things haven't gone to plan. He wasn't far away at Chester and this is a first foray into claiming company. Red Cauldron has shown little to write home about in two starts this season. The market is now watched. One Called Alice is a previous winner at this track. Her presence will be felt later in the piece as she is a slow starter. Hawa Khana ran well at Southwell in the class but hasn't beaten a horse home on the last two starts. Blue Savannah is closely related to top-class miler Rebecca Sharp. It is somewhat worrying that the claimer is a career starting point. Zeffirelli has placed twice in two starts at Southwell and is one to note closely in the market. The Last Bottle looks to have plenty of positives in a race that lacks quality.
