In depth

Verdict

Jeu D'Esprit gets the vote in this modest handicap, Ha'Penny Beacon and Bavarica could be the main dangers. James Given's filly has a superb pedigree but didn't live up to it last season. However if reproducing her best run when third behind Indication at Wolverhampton she should beat these rivals. Ha'Penny Beacon chased home Jackie Kiely here last time out and does appear to be going the right way. Meanwhile bavarica cannot be easily dismissed if ignoring her last effort. Brastar Jelois has moved from david Pipe's yard and this French import ran well enough last time to be given a squeak this afternoon. However Jeu D'Esprit could turn out to be a well handicapped filly and she gets the verdict.
