Jonjo O'Neill's Golden Rambler showed little sign of ability in his three starts over hurdles last season following a year off and, unless his is completely rejuvenated by the switch to chasing, this seems likely to go to Dante Citizen, who is preferred to I Hear Thunder. The last mentioned showed enough on his chasing debut at Stratford in March to suggest that a race of this nature would be within his compass but Dante Citizen has the better form and is preferred. Tom George's gelding finished behind I Hear Thunder in that Stratford race but has improved since then over further and, a mistake at Fakenham last time aside, has jumped well. The six-year-old is taken to resume winning ways. The remainder make very limited appeal with the ex-French Royale Acadou probably the best of them.
