In depth

Verdict

Desert Fury gets the vote here with El Palmar and Fulvio rating the main dangers. The selection won well last time out when beating King Zafeen. That form looks rock solid in the context of this race and from a good draw he looks a value bet in an open affair despite his penalty. Fulvio rates the main danger on his latest fourth behind Raza Club but he is a hard ride and may not be suitable for an amateur. El Palmar is another with place claims on his best form but he has yet to win off a mark this high and looks vulnerable on that basis. The booking of Emily Jones for Crusoe catches the eye and he should be noted in the market. Exit Smiling has dropped to a handy mark and could go well at a price but for the winner we will return to Desert Fury who at least is at the top of his game.
