Mynd is a speculative choice here over Magic Amour, Owed and Shadow Jumper in a very moderate contest. None of these can mentioned with confidence at present, but Mynd at least gave a fair account of himself when second in a Catterick claimer a month ago. That was over five furlongs on his favoured soft ground, so six furlongs on the fibresand surface will not be a problem for Richard Whitaker's five-year-old who is taken to get losses back, having been sent off as favourite last time. Magic Amour has been in a bit of form at Wolverhampton and was a gutsy winner there the time before last, making most to hang on. He does not seem as effective on this surface though, unlike Owed who landed a claimer here in October. He would not be out of it, nor Shadow Dancer who has visited here a total of 12 times in 17 career starts. Successful in Banded company, he can be involved if taking part, as he does need to have his hood removed at the last second. Any support for the Dandy Nicholls runner Albashoosh should be noted as well, but we shall stick with Mynd.
