An interesting opener in which Rosecliff is the suggestion, while Tora Bora and the Gary Moore-trained pair of Sole Agent and Grasp can also improve. The selection is by Montjeu and should enjoy getting his toe in, and the form of his Wincanton second to Tritonville Lodge as worked out well, with Spidam, who finished behind him that day winning at Sandown over the weekend. Rosecliff should certainly have improvement to come and can break his duck here. Gary Moore will have some idea of how his pair will fare against Tora Bora, who finished behind one of his runners on debut at Plumpton recently. Tora Bora had every chance on that occasion but didn't get up the hill as well as the winner, though there could be more to come if handling the soft ground. Sole Agent has shown he handles soft, but Philip Hide will have a job on to get him to improve enough to score, and Moore's other runner Grasp may prove best of the pair. The gelding has handled cut on the level, and though no great shakes in that sphere he was pitched in at quite a decent level when thrashed at Newbury on his hurdling debut. This company should suit more and he can get more involved, but our idea of the winner is Rosecliff.
