A chance is taken that Sanchi is fit enough for his reappearance and can see off the challenges posed by Go Solo and St Savarin, who will both be waiting in the wings to pounce if there are any chinks in the armour of the selection. Prince Picasso is also worthy of consideration, as he is unexposed at the trip and shapes as if he still has plenty more to offer. St Savarin comes here on the back of a fine effort at Haydock at the weekend and, with the ground in his favour, he should not be underestimated. His 6lb penalty has to be of concern though and he needs everything to fall into place for him on these terms. Similar comments apply to Go Solo, who has won his last two starts in good style. However, he looks vulnerable from a career highest mark and has a bit to prove from top weight. Therefore, it can be worth siding with Sanchi, as he looked a useful type for Godolphin last season. He has gone well after a long absence before, so, with his yard in scintillating form; the son of Darshaan edges the verdict on this occasion.
