BENOZZO GOZZOLI may benefit from a return to this track and is put forwards ahead of City Stable and Three Boars amongst others. Hughie Morrison's charge has something to prove following a couple of lacklustre runs when better was expected during his last three outings and his two previous runs at this track hardly inspire confidence but there are reasons to be positive. Those two outings were the first two of his career and he is an improved performer now with his pedigree suggesting that he will be at home at this venue and this could prove to be more his level. City Stable looked as though he'd run up a sequence when winning at Warwick but did little for the form at Kempton when turned out quickly but he is capable and effective here. The booking of Jamie Spencer for Three Boars takes the eye as the course specialist bids for a seventh track success and he looks sure to go close but a chance is taken with Benozzo Gozzoli.
