Smart Starprincess gets the call here over Ladies Knight and Mr Spliffy. The selection comes here in good heart following successive wins and we will adopt the policy of following a filly in form. She is also a course and distance winner. That last comment applies to Ladies Knight, who won well in a claimer here last time and has an obvious chance. Mr Spliffy ran well on Turf from a mark of 54 at Catterick in the summer so, if reproducing that, has to go well from a rating of 47. Of the others, Festive Affair is a course winner over six furlongs so a slow track would help this one's chances. Lone Piper has good chances on his form of over two years ago but is on the downgrade, while Salerno won a Wolverhampton maiden a year ago but has shown very little since. Both Soaked and Threat hold claims if translating their Turf form, although the latter was down to run on Monday, so bear this in mind. Overall, though, we'll side with a filly in form and that is Smart Starprincess.
