Allied Victory gets the call here ahead of Chesnut Ripple, Margold and Magic Mamma's Too. The selection is officially rated the best of these and has been placed 9 times from 14 starts in both Britain and Ireland. If sharp enough after a 64-day break, he looks to hold a very good chance. Magic Mamma's Too is fairly consistent but has yet to win and a place at is the best she can hope for. Chesnut Ripple is proven on the surface and has also to be considered as she has a number of respectable placed efforts to her name in the context of this race. That last comment also applies to Margold, although she is unproven on the surface. Briar is a winning hurdler but is hard to fancy here. It all points back to the selection, then, which is Allied Victory.
