Plenty of these have been waiting for an opportunity to run during the recent cold snap and many arrive here with solid claims. However, Next To Nothing shaped up well on his hurdles debut and it is his previous experience which gives him the edge over Winding River, for whom Tony McCoy is obviously an interesting jockey booking. Others to consider include: Noblefir, who should be suited by the step up in trip, Pure Platinum, who made an encouraging debut at Uttoxeter and Rowley Hill, who is also going the right way and hails from a yard that can do little wrong at present. But Next To Nothing has already proved that he is well suited by a test of stamina after his game effort behind a well-regarded sort from Len Lungo's yard and can be expected to have learnt a good deal from that run. The selection's stable also have hit a rich vein of form of late so a bold bid from Next To Nothing is anticipated.
