MY RENAISSANCE was having only his third start over fences when making all for a convincing victory over Stormbay Bomber at Sedgefield three weeks ago. He's up 7lb but that's unlikely to prevent another big run and he gets the nod. The runner-up has 8l to make up and looks held but Jackthejourneyman scored at Huntingdon in March and ran well in a better handicap than this at Ludlow last month. Dakota Grey makes a quick reappearance after a fair run at Cartmel last week while the former Ireland-trained Sizing Scorpion wouldn't be making the journey from Devon without good reason. Roman Numeral is on the same mark as when successful here last summer but hasn't been running well.
