Bedouin Blue is selected ahead of Court Of Appeal and Kanisorn. Pat Haslam's stable have a more than fair strike rate in this grade and having obliged at Redcar last month, Bedouin Blue looks a likely favourite. Ground seems not to worry this five-year-old and he has no negatives in relation to fitness. Court Of Appeal is a real old stager when it comes to plating contests. He has run his better races at this time of the year so it would be no surprise to see him put up a fair effort first time out. Kanisorn is one of the highest rated on BHA figures but his record of 2 from 26 on turf pales to that on artifical surfaces. Nimello is yet to win over this far on turf but the 12-year-old is in good heart and won on the fibresand the other day. Ilviz hasn't gone on for an impressive effort on debut and could be anything in this company. York Cliff represents the in-form Mark Brisbourne outfit and is watched on reappearance. Shenandoah Girl has a fair jockey booked and could be a different prospect now upped in trip and put on the grass. A competitive enough heat once we rid ourselves of the deadwood and Bedouin Blue is our pick.
