With the Bryan Smart yard flying at present we'll take NIZHONI to continue the trainer's happy New Year with another win here at the main expense of Lemon N Sugar. The selection was an expensive purchase who disappointed slightly on her Haydock debut, but ran with greater promise here last time. She appeared to act well on the Fibresand and with those two experiences looking positive and the stable going so well she looks worth chancing against the likely favourite Lemon N Sugar. Jeremy Noseda's four-year-old put in an improved effort at Lingfield when last seen in October and she has acted well on the faster Polytrack. She may still be able to handle this, but at the very least she has that to prove here and the shorter trip is not certain to suit so we will take her on. Silk Gallery showed a bit more here over the minimum trip last time and is once again tried over 6f here, and there should be more to come. Flirty represents a yard whose few recent runners are going pretty well and she should improve for her debut and could figure today but preference is for Nizhoni.
