In depth

Verdict

Ysing Yi stepped up on his debut outing when chasing home Captain Ramius at Kempton last month and Kevin Ryan's son of Singspiel looks the pick of the colts judged by that effort but this may go to the fairer sex with a chance taken on EVER LOVED, who gets the vote with Choral Festival rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed improved form on her second start and both her outings so far have been on unsuitably soft ground but she should be suited by the Fibresand having an American dirt pedigree and she looks worth chancing for the Godolphin team. Mark Johnston's Age of Magic is another that is bred for this surface but she would need to step up considerably on her debut effort to take a hand here. Jane Chapple-Hyam's Largem makes limited appeal first time out and of more interest may be Sir Mark Prescott's Choral Festival, who looks to be going the right way but she may do better over further and preference is for Ever Loved.
