      Verdict

      David Loder's Pianoforte is bound to be popular with backers following his win in a Wolverhampton maiden last time but the stable's horses are hardly in top form at present and preference is for the reappearing Resistance Heroine, who gets the vote ahead of Llamadas. The last mentioned holds solid claims on recent form but that has all been on the Polytrack surfaces and he has yet to show his effectiveness on the Fibresand. The handicapper has seen fit to leave Pianoforte unchanged on a mark of 80 following his win at Wolverhampton and David Loder's gelding is difficult to recommend, while Orpen Wide has struggled off higher marks since winning a handicap at the same venue in January. The reappearing Simply St Lucia is hard to evaluate after just four starts, while another making their first start of the season Young Thomas will need to have improved from two to three. The same may be said of Resistance Heroine but the William Jarvis-trained filly is bred to appreciate this surface and may find the necessary improvement now that she tackles it for then first time.
