Stellite makes his all weather debut here but may well be good enough to take this race from Ace-Ma-Vahra, Levantine and Pride Of Kinloch. The selection was runner-up in banded company at Ayr when last seen out last month, but will be better for the return to seven furlongs. Soft ground suits him on turf and in theory he should be able to handle the fibresand, so we take him to make a winning debut on the surface. Ace-Ma-Vahra supporters will want to put behind them a stinker by the mare last time out, but her penultimate start offered much more encouragement. That came over this seven furlong trip at Wolverhampton, and a reproduction would give her a definite chance here. Levantine is 5lb higher than the mark of 40 he won from at Lingfield in September, although he has gone close off 48 since at Kempton. However, he needs to improve on his last two runs to get more competitive again, while Pride Of Kinloch has taken a pretty hefty drop in the ratings to come here. She is not in form, but if performing to anything like her ability and handling the surface then she would be thereabouts, but we take Stellite to land the prize.
