Nordican Bleue wasn’t totally convincing when landing the odds at Newton Abbot and has picked up a further penalty. Duck Egg Blue has shown signs of temperament since scoring over track and trip in August and recent rain wouldn’t be in her favour while Felicissimus makes his hurdling debut having only managed third in a Worcester bumper in July when odds-on. Statuario hasn’t raced over hurdles since May and is having a first run for a new yard so is possibly best watched but Book Of Invasions had decent bumper form last season and could be interesting. Despite pulling hard, LANTIERN was just behind a subsequent dual winner at Bangor in May. Harry Whittington’s charge still has time on his side and could be the answer to an open-looking heat.
