Princess Nearco made a winning start over hurdles in a falsely-run affair over 2m4f here last month but her stamina will have to be taken on trust over this trip. DIOMEDE DES MOTTES is the more certain stayer as he’s already won a point over 3m. Dan Skelton’s six-year-old has had wind surgery since finally getting off the mark under Rules in a Warwick maiden in March and further progress is expected this season. Big Nasty made a promising start over timber at Wetherby in April when the first two pulled well clear and he has more scope than Len Brennan but Peter's Portrait is worth a market check.
