In depth

Verdict

Rhosneigr won at Huntingdon in March after placing at Wincanton and Ludlow. He had a run on the all-weather last month and should make a bold bid to defy his penalty but newcomer Thrave is also fit from the Flat, though has given the impression he’s not one who relishes a battle. Bumper winner Enemy Coast Ahead was only headed approaching the last on his hurdles bow at Newbury in December and looks one to follow but MEDALLA DE ORO is preferred on this occasion. Harry Whittington’s gelding can race freely but Daryl Jacob is doing the steering and he’s unpenalised after winning a conditionals’ race at Fakenham in March.
