In depth

Verdict

The Greater Good won a maiden point in April of last year but Paul Nicholls hasn’t had him long. He wears a tongue-tie and has had wind surgery so this may be a fact-finding mission. Fergal O’Brien has a good record in race of this type and Paddy Brennan prefers Ultimate Getaway, placed twice between the flags, ahead of the four-year-old Lunar Sovereign. ARDLAIR is a half-brother to winners on the Flat and over jumps and Tom Lacey’s charge can make a winning start ahead of fellow debutants Ballydun Glory and Le Boulevardier.
