In depth

Verdict

Dermot Weld may have lost his Galway Festival crown last week but the stable has some good chances tonight including here with ALISHAN. An impressive debut winner at Roscommon, she was only a length behind Qatari Hunter at the Curragh on her next start and the winner was in a run that saw him successful four times. She's from a powerful middle-distance family and can prove herself better than an 86-rated handicapper. Jeremys Joy has won twice, both times on heavy going, and ran very well behind Ringside Humour here in June while Beechmount Whisper acts on any going though is 8lb higher than his last victory in June. Daredevil Day hasn't won since early 2014 but he'd been running well before failing to land a gamble at Galway last week.
