    Verdict

Frank The Barber was in good form at Wolverhampton over the winter and made a successful return on Polytrack at Lingfield. But Steph Hollinshead's grey is 0-12 on Turf so Essaka, who has been knocking on the door in similar races over 6f lately, is preferred. Captain Ryan beat Jaganory under a length here in June but has been beaten twice since and the runner-up is now 5lb better off so should turn the tables. TOPSOIL is less exposed than most of these and last month's third here, when 5lb out of the handicap, was a big step forward – he's only a pound wrong in the weights today.
