Verdict

Laika started favourite at Bangor earlier this month and only found one too good. She'll be fancied to go one better here while Smooth Stepper was third on his debut at Hexham in March. Paddy Mulligan is probably better than he showed at Southwell last year and newcomers After Toniight, Chitu and Professor Plum are worth monitoring for market interest. Court Of Law and COOLANURE have both had plenty of experience in point-to-points. The former, from last year's winning yard, won at Laurencetown in May but Malcolm Jefferson's mare possibly had the better overall form and could be good enough to make a winning start under Rules.
