A competitive heat that can be taken by LAWAAHEB, while Woody Valentine and Easby Mandarin can make the frame. The selection has to concede weight away all around here, but that is because he has been remarkably consistent of late, making the frame three times and winning once from his last four. He acts well here and on decent ground and he will be hard to beat. Woody Valentine is chasing a hat-trick in this, having scored over this trip here in a selling hurdle and then following up in that sphere at Uttoxeter. Compared to his hurdles rating he could be 13lbs well in here, but the chances are that he is flattered by that and we will take him on. Easby Mandarin has been placed in five of his 12 chases without winning. He generally jumps well enough and this trip is no problem, though he is again likely to find one or two come home ahead of him. Sands Rising is effective over a range of trips, although ideally he would want further than this and he has a bit to prove after his latest run. Master Papa has dropped to a very handy mark now and a return to form would be no great surprise, but Lawaaheb is the one for us.
