Not a race to dwell on for long, so we won't, and the tentative pick is ARCTIC COVE. Micky Hammond has his runners in fine form this spring and Arctic Cove has had just the one run during that time, when he was beaten a fair way into fourth in a fast ground Wetherby novices' hurdle. He will strip fitter for that outing and as one who likes a sound surface and is effective over a trip this short he is taken to score. Dennick has been on a lengthy slide to his current mark and when considering some of his previous form it is hard to believe that he couldn't be conpetitive in this sort of race. White Lightening represents a yard that has a long association with winners at this track and after a recent pipe opener here we expect to see better this time. If Qaasi can reproduce the type of ability that won him a race or two on the Polytrack then he should get involved from this mark and in an awful race we'll take Arctic Cove to score.
