In depth

Verdict

Damien's Choice ran up to his best at Bangor on Saturday when chasing home Passereau, however, off the same mark he may again find one too good. Jokers Charm, like a lot of horses from the Norman Mason stable, has failed to reproduce his best this season, while topweight Del Trotter and the six-year-old Toshiba Times both have long absences to overcome. Test Of Loyalty won at Perth and Southwell but finished well behind Uncle Bert back at Perth last time and it is the last mentioned who is the TEAMtalk selection here. Lucinda Russell's 12-year-old has had leg problems in the past and was actually retired but has come back this term and shown gradual improvement with each race. Assuming the old boy comes on again for his most recent start he can return to winning ways. Broadgate Flyer has a lot to do from out of the handicap.
