Lightweight York Rite could be fancied here to give Richard Guest another winner, but we give the nod to Flake, with Pornic and Parish Oak also capable of being involved. The selection has taken well to chasing, winning over course and distance on debut, and then not disgraced over a shorter trip here in handicap company last time. Sue Smith's charge goes well on just about any ground, and gets on well with useful claimer Gino Carenza, and the partnership can enjoy further success here. Parish Oak is not well treated with the selection at these weights and would prefer the ground to dry out a bit to have a better chance. Nevertheless, he has more ability than some of these, gets the trip and generally jumps well enough, and he looks to have each way claims. Of the others, Pornic gets in off a light weight of just 10st 2lbs, and he is now 10lb lower than his highest career winning mark, and runs off the same mark from which he was last successful. Clearly then, he is one not to be dismissed lightly given that he will also go on the ground and he could give the selection most to do, but for the winner we nominate Flake to be too good.
