Stamparland Hill is the pick in a very open claiming handicap, Page Point and Deja Vu could be the main rivals. Malcolm Jefferson's ten-year-old was successful at Carlisle in October, and following a couple of setbacks , has now returned to his best. He ran a blinder to chase home Mr Midaz at Musselburgh last time and could go one better this afternoon. Deja Vu was never going at Wetherby last time and was eventually pulled up. However his previous two victories came over course and distance and he will be a major threat to all. Page Point was only five lengths behind the selection in that Musselburgh event and should get a lot closer at today's weights. Meanwhile it would be no surprise to see top-weight Simlet involved in the finish either. So not a race to get too involved in financially, but Stamparland Hill does hold strong claims and gets our vote
