David Wintle sends Good Potential on a long journey for his chasing debut and it should pay to support him. In a pretty ordinary novices' chase, the form of his soft ground win over hurdles at Fontwell in March should be good enough to see him prevail here. One who has the ability to trouble him though is Prince Highlight. Ferdy Murphy's seven-year-old can call upon previous chase experience and if he is over a recent mishap at Cheltenham, which saw him pulled up after a bad mistake, then he should certainly be thereabouts. Iron Express is likely to be up with the pace throughout and ran well enough until appearing to blow up half a mile out over course and distance last time. He should be better for that run and has a squeak if handling the softer ground. Conditions will suit Lord Jack, who should relish both the cut and the trip, but has to defy a seven month lay-off. He cannot be dismissed easily on his chasing debut, though his trainer is not notorious for first time successes of late.
