Blairgowrie can be yet another winner for the in form Howard Johnson yard, with Bison King and World Vision put forward as the main rivals. The selection, a son of Supreme Leader, is very lightly raced and was most impressive when beating subsequent winner Hot Weld. He made of couple of mistakes on the way round but still managed to hold on by a head. The experience will not be lost on this one and with any amount of improvement in the tank he will be very hard to beat. Bison King shaped nicely on what was effectively his seasonal appearance when third to Glacial Sunset at Kempton. As with the selection he should come on for the outing. World Vision is an out an out stayer who did well to finish third to Plutocrat over two miles five furlongs last time. His stable is in top form so he must be feared in this modest event. Most of the others are well exposed, but Blairgowrie has scope for further progression and is a confident choice.
