In depth

Verdict

North Landing, George Stubbs and Charlie Tango look set to fight this out at the finish with the vote given to North Landing. The selection was not given a hard time at Fakenham last time out when finishing fourth behind Brooklyn Brownie. He would be ideally served by slightly faster ground today but he should have too much class for his rivals and we are happy to put him forward as the one to beat. George Stubbs finished behind Estepona last time but the form has been given a boost by the run of the second in that race Premier Dane who put in a cracking display to win a decent race at Musselburgh yesterday. Charlie Tango was really disappointing at Fakenham last time but he did win previously over this course and distance when beating Step Perfect. That win came on the same ground as today so that form would give him a solid chance here today. The Joker will relish this ground and is another with place claims, but for the winner we will return to North Landing.
