Verdict

This is a new race for juveniles over a mile on the turf and HOUSE OF GRACE is taken to see off Lillie Langtry and Elusive Galaxy. High draws have been advantageous in recent times at Santa Anita and a number of the leading protagonists are drawn high. Kenny McPeek's charge heads here following a victory in the Jessamine Stakes at Keeneland and is likely to be utilising her strength in a finish once again. She holds Smart Seattle on that line of form though it would be no surprise to see that rival tried under similar tactics again. Lillie Langtry is one of the stronger chances from the Aidan O¿Brien team. The winner of the Group 2 Debutante Stakes at Leopardstown and the Tattersalls Fillies 800 at Newmarket, she shapes as if this mile should not be a problem. Elusive Galaxy finished third in the Irish contest before switching to Ben Cecil's care. She warmed up for this when finishing fourth in the Natalma Stakes at Woodbine. Kieren Fallon looks an interesting booking aboard Junia Tepzia. Expect to see her campaigned just behind the early pace. Rose Catherine takes a massive step up in grade having stormed home in a maiden over six furlongs at Belmont Park. Saratoga winner, Hatheer, looked progressive earlier in the year though has it to prove this afternoon. House Of Grace can make home advantage count.
