In depth

Verdict

Arecibo will handle any cut in the ground and finished well ahead of Leodis Dream when fourth at York last time. Recon Mission was placed at Chester recently though was beaten by Tinto at Newmarket last year and the latter finished behind ALJADY when Bob Cowell’s charge ran well in the Stewards’ Cup at Goodwood. He’s won two of only four starts for his current yard and the front-runner should go close again on his first attempt at the minimum trip. Glamorous Anna missed out on a hat-trick when beaten at York while Maygold returns to action 6lb higher than her latest success and Desert Safari was due to run at Goodwood yesterday.
