Our suggestion in a competitive heat is SWIFT CHAP with Danzadil and Dubai Crest put forwards as two that could go well at a price. This colt is one of only two juvenile winners for his trainer this season but he showed enough on his nursery bow at Goodwood to think that he can add to the tally. He lacked the pace of the principals that day but stayed on well enough to finish fifth in a manner that suggests that this track will suit. Dubai Crest was amongst those trounced by Prince Siegfried on debut and suffered a similar fate at the hands of Cry Of Freedom next time but he stayed on reasonably well here last time and could fare better now handicapping from a fair mark if he's ridden more handily. Danzadil is another who needs to step up on her maiden form but she has shown ability on all three starts and should prove to be well suited by this step up in trip on her nursery bow. It remains to be seen whether she has the requisite ability to be a threat at this level though and we prefer to take a chance with Swift Chap.
