Blue Jack looks rock solid, he's closely matched with Ridge Wood Dani, Muftarres is sure to have his supporters but we like the look of MISTRESS COOPER. Willie Musson's filly hasn't hit top form this term but she's now 2lbs lower than when last successful and didn't produce her best until this time of year in her juvenile season. John Egan has ridden her twice and has finished second on both occasions (once to Ridge Wood Dani who she meets on 6lbs better terms) which is encouraging as is her course and distance success last September. She needs to step up a gear in order to take this prize but the omens are positive. Ridge Wood Dani is a pound worse off with Blue Jack for a nose but she has the worst of the draw on this occasion and will do well to confirm the form. Willie Muir's runner is on a career high mark now and will need to find some improvement from somewhere if he's to land this heat. Muftarres has been brought along patiently by his handler and may prove capable of better yet but he is another that will need to take a step forwards if he's to take top honours; he should be suited by this stiff track and still appeared a little green at Newbury. Filligree has been on a roll and is well drawn so it would be remiss not to mention her but we fancy Mistress Cooper to run a big race.
