Lambda and Queen's Speech will have their supporters here but we will oppose them with CLASSIC LASS in this fillies' maiden. Rae Guest's runner was second in a small field on her Yarmouth debut, when she really got the hang of things late on and was about four lengths adrift of a 94-rated rival. There was enough promise in that run to suggest that this step up to a mile will help her get her head in front. Lambda struggled from this mark in a handicap last time and does not look one of Sir Michael Stoute's leading lights, so with little improvement of late we will take her on. Queen's Speech has had plenty of chances but this stiff mile might help her and any rain would assist too, so she is respected. Marraasi returns to maiden company after a couple of decent enough handicapping runs and can go well, but Classic Lass can have the edge over her own sex here.
