The jury still remains out to an extent on DECORATED KNIGHT despite his receiving the vote. Beaten at long odds-on first time up, he only landed an egg and spoon maiden last time with a cosy success that will have hopefully sharpened confidence. He was highly-rated by Roger Varian at the start of the season and is taken to improve again to further justify that opinion. Pyjama Party houses a similar profile and looks a likely improver for William Haggas and rates the main danger. Inexorable Tide is unproven on Turf whilst St Saviour may progress for the move into handicaps of an exploitable mark. However, Firmament could be better shortlist material if putting a latest disappointment behind him as he'd previously looked progressive and will not be hampered should the ground soften further.
