Another tight race to call but with holes to pick in the form of most of them we will side with NEGOTIATION to get the better of Spring Adventure. John Gosden's gelding improved on a pleasing debut to score at Yarmouth on good ground back in April, and has not been seen since. After a sticky patch the stable's form has improved again and a stiff mile like this ought to prove ideal for him. He makes his handicap debut off a mark of 80 and is clearly unexposed at present so we will side with him. Al Qeddaaf is now 12lbs higher than when romping home, also at Yarmouth, a couple of starts ago. However, that was on desperate ground and he was well found out from 6lbs lower than this at Newmarket last time, so he is opposable. Spring Adventure won a Lingfield maiden in May and has gradually improved for slipping down the weights in handicaps. Ryan Moore is back on after partnering her for that sole success and from a mark of 76 the pairing is feared. Red Suede Shoes would ideally want 10f to be seen to best effect but is now also attractively weighted and could get involved at the business end. Prize Point has been dropped 5lbs but there are stamina doubts regarding him over this stiff mile and preference is for Negotiation.
