A poor contest where PERSIAN STORM should be good enough to see off a field who have plenty to find at the weights, although Saltagiooo and Fremen can get competitive. Officially rated 103, the Gary Moore-trained selection has 18lbs and more in hand on all of his seven opponents and it would be a surprise if they were able to bridge that gap. He has won over 10f on a couple of occasions earlier in his career back in Germany, so this stiff mile should not be a major problem, and he has been given a bit of a break since showing moderate form over hurdles, and can hopefully get back to winning ways. This sort of test is ideal for Saltagioo, who acts well on a sound surface and won a Polytrack handicap off 86 in March. The yard is in reasonable form and Darryll Holland can enjoy a good ride. Fremen acts well on fast ground and pops up now and again in low grade handicaps and sellers. The drop back from 9f will probably be a plus and he can take home some money. Conditions and trip suit Elna Bright, who is used to winning in this grade and can put a dismal effort last time behind him to go well once more. The others makes very limited appeal and Persian Storm can finally get it right for Gary Moore.
