ROYAL ETIQUETTE gets the vote in this maiden over Royal Box and West Leake Star. The selection showed plenty of promise on his debut when his chance wasn't helped when he was bumped as he went to make his challenge. He finished third behind Blakeys Boy that day, we know he will handle the ground as it was soft that day and he makes plenty of appeal. Royal Box finished in mid-division at Windsor on his racecourse bow but he should learn plenty for the experience. That race has worked out okay and he has a good draw tonight so he has to enter calculations. West Leake Star shaped with promise on his debut at Nottingham but he failed to build on that at Bath last time. He has a good high draw tonight but he will need to improve to make his mark. Glen Shiel is an interesting newcomer from the Mark Johnston yard and he is certainly worth a market check on his racecourse debut The market may well provide a few clues here but we will side with Royal Etiquette to land the prize.
