Punjabi, Trans Siberian and Red Somerset are the trio to focus on here with Punjabi taken to follow up a last time out win. Trans Siberian has been running well this season, following up two narrow defeats with a decisive win at Windsor last time. He is five pounds higher here, but he relished the step up to ten furlongs last time and looks a major threat. Red Somerset won at Nottingham on a fast surface at the end of last season, but despite some fine efforts in defeat so far this campaign, he has been unable to get his head in front. He may be a little high in the handicap but can be fancied to reach the frame. Punjabi has been in prolific form over hurdles, finishing third in the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, before landing the Irish version at Punchestown. He was well supported when making a winning return to the Flat at Newmarket on Friday, beating the well regarded Mad Rush. That was over a mile and a half, and he steps back two furlongs in trip here. The Sandown hill may well suit him and Punjabi can continue his upward curve.
