    Verdict

    With his yard in such good form, Mercurius Power will be expected to add to last week's course and distance victory, especially as his 5lb penalty is wiped out by his rider's claim. However, this looks a better race and ALDHAJA (NAP) has attempted to make all in his last two starts over longer trips on this track and back over the distance of his winning run at Haydock can go in again. Hortzadar has been racing at a higher level and is 1lb lower than his last winning mark but Fast Medicine has finished last in two subsequent runs after an easy victory at Nottingham. City Runner was narrowly beaten in a Class 2 handicap here in April but has run poorly since.
