Michael Jarvis has his string in great form this season and, having already shown respectable form when chasing home Zar Solitario in a handicap at Kempton last month, his runner Silkwood is taken to resume winning ways here with the main threats looking to be Salaasa and Spume. The last mentioned progressed with each start last term and has to be of interest with Sir Michael Stoute's runners in good form but he looks to have plenty of weight for what he has achieved so may be best watched. John Gosden's Bergonzi improved with each start last term but is another that seemingly faces no easy task on his first start in a handicap, while Mandragola has yet to prove that he is as effective on turf as on the all-weather. Surrey Spinner is another that is hard to weigh up after just three starts but comes from a yard yet to hit top gear so is probably best left out of calculations so a bigger threat may come from Mark Johnston's Salaasa, who looks to be going the right way. Silkwood has solid claims though and she gets the vote.
